World Superbike Championship - what a day...

What an experience! These guys know how to ride. My favourite, Jonny Ray, had a fantastic second race. These guys are fearless; their speed and skill will inspire any biker.

We bought earplugs but ended up not using them. It was great to hear the sound of 20-odd bikes opening full throttle to take off. As for the noise when they come flying past - you can shout at the top of your lungs and no one will even hear you.

It was an adrenaline-pumped day even for the bystander. You feel so inspired afterwards...you feel you can take on a race yourself any day.

When we were walking through the parking area looking at all the bikes, Janeke asked me what bike I'd ask the angels for, if I could. At that moment a Hannspree Honda passed us and I said out loud, that's the bike I want!
